Notes from association clinician Steve Cook

1. Any soccer official who registers with the MSHSL is covered by insurance regardless of the level of soccer game (varsity, JV, C, etc.).
2. If any official rates a "1" for sportsmanship by any team an incident report is mandatory.
3. Anyone can purchase a $25 card that allows for unlimited entry into all sectional and tournament games.
4. An official scorer is mandatory.
5. With any red card a misconduct report is mandatory.
6. Officials must put their VARSITY schedules on the MSHSL website. This allows them to be rated AND officials may rate the teams as well. Those wanting to qualify for the state tournament MUST put their schedules on the MSHSL website.
7. HEAD coaches are required for the coin toss.
8. Sportsmanship reminders must be given to captains and head coaches at the coin toss.
